Saying Goodbye to others

We have been saying goodbye to another guy from MAF. Allan Conrad has been here working for MAF for about 13 years now. He married a lady from Canada/Uganda, but they will continue to live here - he doesn't believe in retirement (it's not of the Bible he says) and so he and his wife are building a home for them to live in and also to run it as an orphanage.

We had a barbeque for him on a Sunday, and had a lovely afternoon together. It's been a long time since we did something as a group at MAF (as we missed the Christmas one).

Everone brought food to share.
This weekend we will have to bid farewell to another guy at MAF. He has been a volunteer here for about 6 months; a young guy from Switzerland, who was covering for the IT Mangaer, who was back in his home country while his wife was having a baby. We've been having some evenings with him! He and his friend Michael (who has just come to visit for the last 4 weeks), are great at playing with our children, and spend time outside playing football, and many hours chasing and splashing together at the pool.

We had a movie night with them, bringing some food to share and getting together with all the kids for a film. It was a lot of fun too!

We also went out into the 'porini' the bush, for a barbeque with them. It was an exciting experience for many!

The food was good too!

We had to keep a good eye on Esther and the boys, making sure they didn't stray toooo far.

Benjamin's sore tummy slowed him down a little. Not a lot of fun, and one of the few things to slow him down. But how cute in this photo.

We have said goodbye to Thomas and Patricia, as she left about 4 weeks ago to return to her home country to have a baby, and Thomas has just gone to join her. We had a lovely evening with them, which was for adults only. We dressed up, had a quiet meal and lots of time to chat. Some of you may know Thomas - he's also from Northern Ireland.
